What’s the capacity of the TIM3 MACHIN3?

It will make between 4 to 20 cups of cooked rice or quinoa (which is 2 to 10 cups uncooked). It has a 4 quart capacity for slow cooking and can make up to a gallon of homemade yogurt. It also cooks between 2 to 8 cups of oatmeal. All cup references are to the included measuring cup’s capacity, which is the rice cooker industry standard size of 6 ounces (which is 3/4 of a standard US cup). What are the TIM3 MACHIN3’s dimensions?

The TIM3 MACHIN3 is 11.4 inches high, 11.3 inches wide and 11.1 inches deep. It weighs 6.4 lbs. The included steam tray is 2 inches deep with a 9-inch circumference. The PADDL3 is 8.5 inches long with a 2.75-inch wide scoop. Last updated: Tue, Nov 11 2014 8:12 pm EST

How does the TIM3 MACHIN3’s slow cook function compare to other slow cookers/crock pots?

We used a few prominent slow cooker brands to model our temperature settings. We have 3 settings– low, medium and high. “Low” cooks for 8 hours. “Medium” cooks for 6 and “High” cooks for 4 hours. All settings automatically switch to “Keep Warm” when time elapses. Each setting is designed to bring the temperature up slowly over the set amount of time to simulate the temperature climb in a thick ceramic crock. The goal is to bring the contents of the cooking pot to a temperature of about 205 degrees (just below a boil) near the end of the set cooking time. How does the TIM3 MACHIN3 deal with small quantities of rice? My current rice cooker requires a minimum of 2 cups.

As with most large-capacity rice cookers, we recommend cooking a minimum of 2 cups, but in our tests with the TIM3 MACHIN3, it does very well with 1 cup, because we’ve programmed it to shut off the cooking process a tad earlier than many of our competitors’ units. We will post some comparison photos in tomorrow’s (11/12/2014) update. Last updated: Tue, Nov 11 2014 8:10 pm EST

Why is the TIM3 MACHIN3 only available to ship to the US and Canada?

As much as we’d like to send a TIM3 MACHIN3 to everyone, the voltage variations from country to country make this pretty tough. Also, we’d need to get electrical safety approval in each country where the TIM3 MACHIN3 is going to be sold. We already have completed safety testing for the US and Canada and it wasn’t cheap! So, for now, we are limiting backers to the US and Canada. Last updated: Wed, Nov 12 2014 7:44 pm EST

Does the TIM3 MACHIN3 include a warranty?

Yes! The TIM3 MACHIN3 comes with a one year warranty. We’re also committed to providing the best possible customer service, so if you have any questions or problems with your TIM3 MACHIN3, we’ll be there to solve them for you via email, the phone or social media. BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
